 .
. One or more letters may appear at the left side of a line in a family
. box. These are codes to identify sources for the information on that line.
. The full sourcenames are also included at the bottom of each screen where a
 . notation appears.
 .
. Red Island was part of the Argentia parish until 1941. Parish
. records did not usually list locale or, for marriages, parents' names,
. until 1895. Starting in 1895, baptisms included the locale, and
. marriages included the locales, ages, parents' names and parents'
 . places of birth.
 .
. A few warnings about data reliability:
 .
. . Baptisms were not always immediately entered in church records,
. so there are some errors and people missing.
 .
. . Ages in marriage records are sometimes incorrect.
 .
. . Places of birth in marriage records are sometimes incorrect.
 .
 . . The mother's maiden name, especially in a child's marriage
 . record, is sometimes incorrect.
 .
. . The places of birth of parents, especially in childrens'
. marriage records, are often incorrect.
 .
 . . Census data (1921, 1935, and 1945) is often unreliable. These
 . records contain numerous errors.
 .
. . Government birth records were recorded from information sent
. in by the clergy, so they are less accurate than baptismal
 . records.
 .
. When a marriage code appears next to a marriage line, it applies
. to the marriage. When it appears on a person's birth line, or above
 . a person's marriage line, it is verifying a place of birth and/or a
 . birthyear.
 .
. Census codes used without a note explaining locale are for Red
 . Island.
 .
. Not all data sources have been noted. When a primary source is
. available, such as a baptism or marriage record, secondary sources,
. such as census data, may be omitted.
