Synopsis of information contained in these documents:

John Reddy of Red Island wrote a will in 1922 and died in 1926.

He was married to Veronica Dunphy.

He wrote his will on April 8, 1922, in which he refers to himself as a merchant. He appointed his wife Vera and James Vincent McCarthy of Red Island, also a merchant, as his executors. He bequethed everything to his wife until her death or re-marriage, at which time everything would pass to his children. He also stipulated that each of his executors receive the sum of $100.

A codicil was written to the will on May 7, 1926, in which James McCarthy was removed as joint executor, and Garrett Ryan, fisherman of Red Island, was named as new joint executor. In addition, the stipulation of $100 for each executor was reduced to $50.

John Reddy died at Red Island on July 23, 1926.

In September 1926, Garrett Ryan filed an affadavit to have himself removed as an executor of Reddy's estate, leaving the widow Vera Reddy as the sole executor.

The net value of the estate, after payment of all debts, was $12,420.

The application to probate the will was filed on September 9, 1926, by the widow Vera Reddy.
